The application of an essential oil treatment of clove flower buds(Syzygium aromaticum L.) on Varroa Jacobsoni, a major enemy of the telial bee(Apis mellifera intermissa), the results before treatment revealed infestation rates in the hives varying between 6.7% and 11%. This shows the heterogeneity of the infestations in the hives according to the density of the bees After treatment, a difference in the acaricidal effect of essential oil of Syzygium aromaticum L. is noticed given a better mortality rate by the D2 dose (0.15%) compared to the D2 dose (0.25%).The biological activity is realized…mehr

This shows the heterogeneity of the infestations in the hives according to the density of the bees After treatment, a difference in the acaricidal effect of essential oil of Syzygium aromaticum L. is noticed given a better mortality rate by the D2 dose (0.15%) compared to the D2 dose (0.25%).The biological activity is realized on 9 bacterial strains(Bacillus cereus; Escherichia coli ATCC 25911 etc..The results show that this essential oil has a strong antibacterial activity represented with diameters of inhibition varying between 20 mm and 42 mm for the bacterial strains and with a diameter varies between 38 and 39 mm for the test on the fungal strain and between 37 and 39 for the yeasts.
