This report presents a general methodology for the overall appraisal of small-scale hydroelectric installations for given regions within countries where the potential for smallscale hydro is still not considerably used. The use of this methodology intends to result in a fairly rapid and accurate selection of the number, size, cost, and economic feasibility of smallscale hydroelectric projects within the region under study. In the frame of this report 29 sites were identified, 10 of them were analyzed at a level of preliminary study, 4 of them were analyzed at a level of pre-feasibility study, where from two sites were selected for further analyze, in the both cases the best variants were chosen and proposed to the municipalities as best sites for investment. The total installed power of these two sites is 221 kW and the annual production of electrical energy equals 1100 MWh/yr, which corresponds to the annual mean consummation of about 440 household users in Macedonia.
