Produktbeschreibung
The Diocesan Commission for Justice and Peace/Matadi conducted a survey on the evaluation of the implementation of financial policies in the city of Matadi and its three communes in collaboration with the Mayor's Office of this port city in order to respond effectively to development needs. This survey aims to understand how revenues are mobilized by the Mayor's Office to improve the living conditions of the population and to define the assets that the city has and the challenges it faces to improve local governance. The challenges identified during this study by the Diocesan Commission for Justice and Peace/Matadi are related to: the low rate of revenue collection by the revenue-generating departments of three (3) communes; the absence of a tax culture among taxpayers; the absence of effective and transparent mechanisms for collecting and channeling the revenues collected; the low level of awareness and information among economic actors; the low level of visible counterpart in terms of services rendered by the urban authorities in favor of the population, economic actors, etc.
