This document presents the diagnostic analysis of water management in the hydro-agricultural schemes of Saga, Ndounga 2, Namardé Goungou, Djambala and Lata under ONAHA supervision. Several water management experiences have been tested in Niger, namely i) Traditional water management within the framework of ONAHA's advisory support through the supervisory staff (Perimeter Director, Agricultural Technical Advisors, Organisational Advisors), ii) Support for water management through the support of a Water Management Manager (WMR) set up by a private consultancy firm (Programme Grande Irrigation (PGI), iii) Contractualisation with a GIE-type Service Provision Centre to support water management (PAFRIZ Project) and finally the setting up of Irrigation Water Users' Associations (AUE) financed by the Private Irrigation Promotion Project (PIP2).
