Saving and Credit Co-operatives Society have advanced in adopting the newest Information Technology services that are offered to the members as a way of remaining relevant in the banking industry. The volatility in the banking industry has sent the Saving and Credit Co-operatives Society into a more efficient and reliable platform Software as a Service in the name of cloud computing. A technology that has seen staff use mobile working and Sacco members accessing services and products in regardless of time and place. Just to mention but a few, some of the Information Technology services used include access to the Automated Teller Machine, use of Google Applications like 'Stima Application', the use of Unstructured Supplementary Service Data and other mobile applications to deposit money and enjoy other services. In Kenya, the credit co-operatives continue to contribute highly to Gross Domestic Product.
