Numerous surface modification approaches have been developed for all classes of dental implants to modulate biological responses and improve the osseointegration and primary stability. Hence, Implant threads should be designed to maximize the delivery of optimal favorable stresses while minimizing the amount of extreme adverse stresses to the bone implant interface. In addition, using of biomaterial coating of implant surface for the enhancement of bone formation has been achieved through the modulation of osteoblasts adhesion and spreading that induced better stability and more implant surface contact area.

Prof.Dr.Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib graduated from Baghdad University, Iraq, in 1991 with B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, and in 1995 with M.Sc.
