Produktbeschreibung
Evaporation is one of the most significant hydrological processes that needs to be quantified precisely for various purposes in hydrology and water resources. It plays an important role in proper planning, operation and management of available water resources, because a considerable amount of water is lost through evaporation. It is a key factor for irrigation system design and management, crop production, environmental assessment, water resources management and planning. Accurate evaporation estimations are essential for the balancing of irrigation water use in arid and semiarid regions, highly conditioned by water shortages, where responsible irrigation engineering and management is mandatory. It is expected that this will have serious adverse effects on water resources together with the increasing world population. An attempt has been made to develop artificial neural network (ANN), multiple linear regressions (MLR) and climate based models for modelling of evaporation for Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, India.
