David E. Lovewell was born in the English village of Shotesham, in the county of Norfolk, where he lived on his parents' farm until he began training for the Methodist ministry. In the mid-1950s he and his wife Patricia immigrated to Canada. As a minister in the United Church, David served in various charges in Newfoundland and in Bermuda. In the 1960s he and his family relocated to Alberta. David was a minister first in Red Deer and then, for over 10 years, at St. Andrew's United in Calgary. In 1986 he and Patricia moved to Victoria BC, and David retired from the ministry in 1989. He and Patricia still live in Victoria today.…mehr
