Dr. De'Nean Coleman-Carew is a college professor, clinical psychologist, certified meditation teacher, mother, and grandmother. After all of the traumas of 2020, she wanted to do something to try and make this world a better place. The world keeps advancing at lightning speed technologically but is standing still interpersonally. Every Kid Matters represents the intersectionality of storytelling and psychology; promoting self-acceptance, diversity, and inclusion at an early age. The book strives to teach resilience, empathy, and kindness. Dr. Coleman-Carew's passion for using psychology to improve human relations by teaching acceptance of self and others is what makes her the ideal storyteller.
