Nancy Richardson's poems concern the coming of age in the rust-belt of Ohio during a period of decay of the physical and political structures that made the region once solid and predictable. Her poems chart the shifting of the foundations upon which a life is built and the undpredictability of events that have had personal and political consequences, including the shootings at Kent State. These poems have resonance to the chaotic political and social circumstances in which we now find ourselves.

Autorenporträt
Wife, mom, and dedicated student of Muay Thai kickboxing and Brazilian jiujitsu, Nancy Richardson began her career with a BA from the University of Washington and an MBA from Ohio State University. After more than twenty years of working in large, corporate environments, including Starbucks and lululemon-where she put in insane hours, had little time with her family, and felt others determined her worth-she decided to design her own life by tapping into the era of start-ups and passion projects, building meaningful brands, and working from home to spend more time with her family. Nancy is the Co-Founder and Principal Strategist of Dragon Lady and Mom 'n' Pop Shop, two women-led, Vancouver-based marketing start-ups that embody the concept of working freely. Her mission is to embolden the workforce of the future. Nancy was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, and currently lives in Vancouver, Canada.
