This book is an attempt to understand the fundamentals and basics of disconnection approach in organic synthesis. There are about 180 examples for practice and understanding the concepts of disconnection approach. It is specially designed for teaching and practicing the synthetic organic chemistry to the post graduation students of science (chemistry). This book does not contain too much theory and description as the main target is practice of number of various kinds of examples of organic chemistry. Retrosynthetic analysis is based on the method developed by S. Warren from the computer-designed multistep syntheses. The selected examples of organic syntheses in this book are not regularly related to the target molecule of retrosynthetic analysis. Chiral target molecules are selected either to demonstrate the practicability of certain asymmetric syntheses in non-catalytic and catalytic mode, on the laboratory and industrial scale. The book characterizes the framework consisting ofchapters preceded by the Index, List of abbreviations and general introduction. Authors expect this book to contribute to this trend and bridge retrosynthetic analysis and synthesis of target molecules.
