This is a short essay on the idea of incorporating issues that are traditionally ignored in the study of leadership. Some of these issues are existential intelligence, mindfulness, authenticity and meaning in life. The work draws from the early existential philosophical framework and discusses the implications of these themes within the realm of authentic leadership theory. The arguments are presented in the form of propositions, as it is a developing theoretical model.
