The pancreas is characterized as a mixed two-part gland, the exocrine and endocrine. The measurement of immunoreactivity similar to trypsin is the most recommended test for diagnosis, although there are other tests that can help in the diagnostic conduct. The treatment of choice is the enzymatic replacement of pancreatin associated with food management.
