The social, economic and cultural changes of recent decades have meant that the social and labor market insertion of young people has been transformed. One manifestation of these changes is the explosive growth of enrollment rates at all educational levels (elementary, middle and high school). The changes that have occurred in the labor market and the educational system have a considerable influence on the vision of the future of these young people. But these are not the only factors that delimit their future; there are other elements that shape these variables, for example, the family, socioeconomic level and vocational orientation. Social and economic factors are the most important determinants of the type of educational or employment path that students will follow. As a whole, the institution provides the material conditions necessary to forge a moral, cultural and educational level for each student willing to learn. For example: Tenti (2007) highlights that the massification of secondary schooling has operated together with a deep process of segmentation of the educational offer, associating its quality according to the socio-educational group to which the student belongs.
