Christy Smith grew up in the Biggest Little City in the World, Reno, Nevada. Though the second of nine children, Christy lived in a world of her own. All it took was a pencil and imagination and she was off creating other worlds. Expecting to Fly was inspired by a dream and developed based on her own experiences. Christy is retired from the law enforcement field, has five children and nineteen grand children. She enjoys writing, painting, gardening and children.
