Globally every year 15 million people suffer from stroke. Nearly six million die and another five million are left permanently disabled. Stroke is the second leading cause of disability.In developed countries the incidence is decreasing but in developing its on rise.But as its preventable and treatable, the best strategy we have is to act beforehand and mitigate its impact. This can be possible by stroke registry. The data of stroke registry helps the health professionals, policy makers and stakeholders to frame epidemiological/experimental research studies, interventions/policies to manage this disease and its complications.
