The second objective is that the factorial design of experiments are conducted to analyze the natural convection in vertical circular cylinders embedded with and without porous media to find the effect of temperature (T), Aspect ratio (Ar), Radius ratio (R), Power supply (q) and their interaction effects on Nusselt number (Nu), Rayleigh number (Ra), heat transfer coefficient (h), and on viscous dissipation parameter ( ).

Dr.D.Subramanyam was born in sullurupeta, Nellore Dist, Andhra Pradesh, India in 1968. He received his B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D degrees in Mechanical Engineering From S V University, Tirupati. He is currently a professor and Dean (R&D), SIETK, Puttur. His research interests include heat transfer and phase changing materials and Alternate Fuels.
