With the growing need in technologically advanced industries for high-strength materials and advances in the field of material science, there has been an increase in the availability and use of difficult-to-machine materials. Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is an extensively used method to machine electrically conductive materials. EDM is a thermo-electric method in which material removal takes place through the process of controlled repetitive spark generation. The machines also specialize in cutting complex contours or flimsy geometries that would be difficult to be produced using conventional cutting methods. This book has focused on the research aspect of industrial problems and proposed the optimum solutions for the same with proven experimental work.
