Heat transfer is classified into various mechanisms, such as thermal conduction, thermal convection, thermal radiation, and transfer of energy by phase changes. One-dimensional conduction through more complex systems, such as composite walls, is easily analyzed using the thermal resistance concept.Here the apparatus consists of a central heater sandwiched between two sheets. Three types of slabs are provided both sides of heater, which forms a composite structure. A small hand press frame is provided to ensure the perfect contact between the slabs.
