Now-a-days the population is increasing day by day so the necessity of the houses is also increasing. The consumption of cement is very high.so there is a chance to decrease the usage of cement by replacing it with fly ash up to certain proportions. This investigation is to study the effects of replacement of cement (by weight) with four percentage of fly ash and the effects of addition of steel strip pieces in partial replacement of coarse aggregate. A control mixture of proportions 1:1.5:3 with w/c of 0.45 was designed. Cement was replaced with three percentages (15%, 30%&45%) of Class F fly…mehr

Cement was replaced with three percentages (15%, 30%&45%) of Class F fly ash. Three percentages of steel strip pieces (5%,10%&15%) were used. This study reports the feasibility of use of waste steel strip pieces and their effect due to variation in structural properties such as cylinder compressive strength, split tensile strength, water Absorption, Moisture Migration& Evaporation Test in concrete. Tests were conducted on cubes and beams with optimum replacement, and the results compared with those of normal concrete.
