The inappropriate use of psychoactive substances is a social phenomenon, drunkenness is increasing and the accessibility of substances is increasing. Our concerns throughout our work have revolved around the question of the explanatory factors of addiction to psychoactive substances among young adults in the Himbi neighborhood. Our population is infinite and consists of the inhabitants of the Himbi neighborhood. We used the non-probability sampling technique, a casual or incidental sample of 100 young adults from the Himbi neighborhood was selected. We described the sample by gender, age groups, marital status, education level and occupation. Within the framework of our research, our questionnaire was elaborated on the basis of other validated tools that tried to evaluate addictive behaviors to psychoactive substances. For us, we chose the direct administration where we gave the questionnaire to each respondent to recover it after filling. The use of psychoactive products is alsoobserved in our Congolese society and particularly in the city of Goma.
