Furthermore, due to the impact of ancient Chinese foot binding culture on the formation of "Yuanchangbu", this book, based on research of the movement, will also explore the era of foot binding. We will understand the changing progress of Chinese men and women's lifestyle from the era of the natural-foot to foot binding. And at this moment trigger further thought on the culture and style of Chinese traditional dance by the "foot-binding culture."
Autorenporträt
Xiang Xu is an international dancer, choreographer and instructor based in New York. He grew up in China and earned his B.A. at the most prestigious dance institution, the Beijing Dance Academy. Xiang currently holds a Master of Fine Arts from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts. He also established the Xiang Xu Dance Theater in New York.
