Autorenporträt
Richard Chenivix Trench (1807-1886) was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University. After years as an Anglican curate and rector, he was appointed to a chair of Divinity at King's College, London, and then Dean of Westminster. In 1864 he was elevated to Archbishop of Dublin, a position he held for twenty years.
