The human heart has many facets. Complex yet simple, fragile yet robust, it can change the world with its unbridled passion or beat quietly in isolated grief. As individuals and as nations, we often fail to understand each other. But no matter who we are or where we come from, our hearts are the same, beating for the people we love and in spite of the many losses and hardships we face. Our life experiences all leave their marks on us, for better or worse, and that is what the author explores in Expressions of the Heart: the joy, pain, and everything else that goes hand in hand with simply being human. Beautifully crafted and thought-provoking, these poems are also highly relatable and unpretentious, meant for everyone to enjoy, whether they know a thing about poetry or not. Expressions of the heart speaks with the humble voice of one man, articulating the emotions of a lifetime for those who don't have the words to do the same.
