Healthcare workers are more likely to be infected with SARS-CoV-2 than the general population. The objectives of our work were to describe the level of concern of healthcare professionals about COVID-19 within the CHU Hedi Chaker and CHU Habib Bourguiba in Sfax, to assess the perception of the risk of being infected by COVID-19 among this professional category, and to develop recommendations aimed at improving working conditions and reducing the risks associated with COVID-19 in order to guarantee the safety of care in our public hospitals. Our study was cross-sectional and descriptive. The target population was healthcare professionals working in the two CHUs "Hedi Chaker" and "Habib Bourguiba" in Sfax. Data were collected by means of a questionnaire including sections on the evaluation of concern related to the coronavirus pandemic and the risk of contagion by SARS-CoV-2, as well as the evaluation of the perceived risk of developing a severe or fatal form of coronavirus disease.
