A first-generation Italian American, JOEY NICOLETTI was born in New York City and raised on Long Island. He is the author of ten poetry collections, including Breakaway (Broadstone Books, 2023), Fan Mail (Broadstone Books, 2021), and Boombox Serenade (BlazeVOX Books, 2019). Joey's poems, essays, reviews, and articles have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including The Rumpus, The Adroit Journal, and Drawn to Marvel: Poems from the Comic Books. He is the Reviews Editor of VIA: Voices in Italian Americana and lives with his family in Western New York, where he teaches writing at SUNY Buffalo State.
