Produktbeschreibung
Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) is a green alternative for supplementary food industries to obtain antioxidant rich components. Modification of the fundamental limitation of low polarity of supercritical carbon dioxide can be overcome by using an appropriate modifier in small amounts. Moreover, systematic study on SFE by using advanced designed experiment could multiply its benefits by reducing the total effort and resource. Authentication of multicomponent contributing bioactivity analysis of natural products using affordable and available chromatographic instruments and chemometrics based data analysis is another approach to reduce the chemical based assay and time for method development. The present contribution has showed the application of SFE in natural products for obtaining antioxidant rich compounds by using experimental studies. Chemometrics based analysis of chromatographic data for authenticating the bioactivity of natural products has also been provided in detail. The alternative approaches discussed in this book will be beneficial for supplementary food industries for obtaining ¿green chemical method¿ for natural products development and authentication.
