This study focuses on the extraction of oil and phenolic retanning agent from avocado seed using soxhlet and conical flask respectively with a different solvent of dichloromethane, n-hexane and petroleum ether solvent and the tannin extraction of avocado seed was obtained by water base and hexane. Various parameters, such as time, temperature and solvent (concentration and amount) of tannin liquor have been optimized. The result showed that various parameters contributed to the extraction optimization of avocado seed oil as this n-hexane gave higher oil yields of 1.59% and tannin result checked with FTIR analysis from the result of hexane for 8hr at 1000c is showed better resolution as compared to another solvent. According to the physicochemical analysis of the oil, extract showed that Acid value (7.73 mg of KOH), Saponification value (214.5 mg KOH/g), Ester value (207.3 mg KOH), Iodine value (51.8 mg iodine/g), Free Fatty Acid (3.63%).
