Extraction&determination of physiochemical properties of dietary fiber

This research work includes the extraction and determination of dietary fiber from selected fruits, herbs and seeds found readily in northeastern part of Nigeria using Atomic absorption Spectrophotometer(AAS). The study also determines the chemical composition and physiochemical characteristics of the extracted fiber like water absorption capacity and heavy metal binding activity of the samples used.
