Bill Willingham arbeitet seit über zwanzig Jahren als Comic-Autor und -Zeichner. Mitte der 80er-Jahre begann der 1956 in Fort Belvoir, Virgina, geborene Willingham seine Karriere beim US-Independent-Verlag Comico. Es folgten Stationen bei unterschiedlichen Verlagen. Bill Willingham lebt in Minnesota.

Mark Buckingham ist ein britischer Comiczeichner. Besonders häufig arbeitet Buckingham mit Neil Gaiman zusammen, der 2006 sein Trauzeuge war.
