Some of Graham Rendoth's intriguing faces are finely detailed, while others are made with just a few considered marks, but all focus on trapping a single idea or situation. Like real people, like real faces, most are a mystery to me. If done by someone else I would expect them to have come out of dreams - but they didn't, not really. They usually grow out of a dreamstate though, some time after I notice a person or a thing, or I've been emotionally detached in a place or in a time of repose, and then the drawing starts. "Faces are the most interesting things we see; other people fascinate me, and the most interesting aspect of other people - the point where we go inside them - is the face.
