She has a degree in dentistry, a master's degree in orthodontics and a doctorate in dental sciences. She has 25 years' experience in clinical dentistry and teaching dentistry in Brazil and Latin America. Her lines of research are technologies in dentistry, facial aesthetics and community health in dentistry.
