This study looked at the importance of suitable facilities for goats and sheep, considering various aspects that influence the productivity and well-being of these animals. A literature review was conducted with a descriptive qualitative approach, including the analysis of research articles, reviews, course completion papers, master's dissertations, doctoral theses and publications in book format. It has become clear throughout this research that the choice and planning of facilities must take into account factors such as the climate of the region, the specific needs of the species, the type of production (milk, meat, reproduction, etc.) and the availability of financial resources. In addition, it is essential to consider aspects related to hygiene, thermal comfort, ease of handling and the safety of animals and farm workers.
