The main objective of this study was to identify the factors affecting artificial insemination (A.I.) services in the field conditions. The data from a total of 459 inseminations were analyzed. Specifically, effects of farm, animal, semen/bull and A.I techician on conception rate were studied. Information about these parameters was obtained from farmers and A.I. technicians on appropriate proforma. Milk progesterone (P) concentration was used as an indicator of conception. Concentration of P in milk was determined using radioimmunoassay (RIA) kits provided by Food and Agriculture Organizationllnternational Atomic Energy Association (FAO/IAEA). Results indicated that the overall conception rate through A.I. under field condition was 28.8%.
