The present book includes a study that was conducted to explore factors affecting rural poverty in district Bhakkar - Pakistan. Primary data was collected from 300 households. Thirteen hypothesis were formulated to test the correlates of rural poverty. Data was analyzed using descriptive, bivariate and multivariate analysis techniques.The results of the study were found to be in congruence with the findings of the available literature. The study suggested that sound and consistent public policy, innovative institutions and adequate investment could play a role in bringing about a positive change in the lives of the poor.…mehr
