The study investigated the factors contributing to iron deficiency anemia among adult patient attending Borama Regional Hospital in Borama District, Somaliland. The factors contribute is the factors can participate to cause the iron deficiency anemia in adult patient. A factors contribute was conceptualized as level of nutritional factor, physiological factor and parasitic factor. Levels of nutritional was conceptualized as iron intake and food consumption, levels of physiological as gastrointestinal bleeding and menstrual bleeding and levels of parasitic as hookworm, schistosoma and liver fluke. The iron deficiency anemia is the common Est micronutrient deficiency in both developing and developed countries, can be measured into. Blood Hemoglobin level (Hb test). The study was guided by Porotic Hyperostosis theory; the study used a cross-sectional survey research design, on sample of 113 iron deficiency anemia adult patient selected from registered iron deficiency anemia patientsin Borama Regional Hospital. Data was collected using questionnaire and document analysis method in June 2020 and analyzed using simple and multi linear regression techniques.
