The Project This project investigates the factors that influence female enrolment in postgraduate studies of the College of Education and External Studies of the University of Nairobi. The study was conducted in the departments of Educational Administration and Planning, Extra Mural Studies and Educational Communication and Technology. The objectives of the study were to establish the influence of economic, social/cultural, personal or individual and contextual factors on enrolment of female in postgraduate studies. Theories and literature on female enrolment in postgraduate studies were reviewed and a conceptual framework developed to guide the study. The Author Mrs.Susan Waithira Mwaura is an Executive Secretary based at the College of Education and External Studies, School of Education, Department of Educational Foundations; University of Nairobi, Kenya (East Africa). She has an experience of over 25 years in administration in Higher Learning Institution. She holds a diploma in Human Resource Management, a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters of Arts degree (in Project Planning and Management) all at the University of Nairobi.
