The aggravated nature of this issue demand for urgent Government attention. But by their concerted efforts to reduce these physical abuses, yielded little or no result. The physical injuries, abandonment and molestation as the precipice of Child Abuse are common in Nigeria as a result of unemployment and poverty. Child Abuse and neglect are very endemic in Nigerian society and for the Government to curb this ugly trend, it demandsa stringent bill that should be passed into law that will provide punitive measures forbidding any Nigerian parents from forcing their children into child labour and other range of child neglects.

Nnaemeka Chukwudum Abamara holds a B.Sc in general Psychology and M.Sc in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ibadan,Nigeria. He also hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University,Awka.He is currently a clinical Psychologist and a lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka Nigeria.He has several published articles.
