The study investigated the strategic planning factors that affect the development of church-run schools in Zimbabwe, with a specific focus on Sacred Heart Jesuit College, a Roman Catholic run school in Chinhoyi Diocese in Zimbabwe. A pragmatic research ideology was adopted in this study. Data was collected from the stakeholders made up of the responsible authorities, heads, teachers, school development committee, students and also councillors mostly through questionnaires and face-to-face interviews. Primary, secondary and tertiary data were used to obtain a holistic picture of the subject at stake. A sample of 143 respondents was used for questionnaires using stratified and convenient sampling. Quantitative data were analysed to generate descriptive statistics. In order to test the relationships between the distinct variables studied, which are strategic planning factors and the development of church-run schools. Qualitative data were also analysed through content gathered and discourse analysis. The study found out that there were various strategic planning factors which impacted the development of Roman Catholic schools and gave recommendations to address the problems.
