Autorenporträt
J. C. Ryle (1816-1900) had a distinguished ministry of vocational Christian service as a pastor, author, and scholar. He was educated at Eton College and the University of Oxford, ultimately receiving a Doctor of Divinity diploma. He served as the first Anglican bishop of Liverpool. He authored numerous tracts and books including Thoughts for Young Men, Expository Thoughts on the Gospels, Knots Untied, and Holiness.
