This book OIU Factual Account of our Heroes began as a mere suggestive idea by one of the OIU members. It was all about finding the best way and means of producing a biographical record of OIU members. A laudable idea one would say and novel in the history of OIU. The project was considered a herculean task and akin to someone aiming to get to a mountain top. However, the enormous task was never a scare to the authors as they believed that high hills grow less as one ascends it. OIU Factual Account of our Heroes was a product of over twelve years of extensive research work. Questionnaires were administered, live interviews conducted, and travelling to meet respondents for authentification of claims in order to collate, document, and come up with the factual account of our heroes which has now become a reference book. In the course of working on this project, some OIU members whose records were captured in this book had passed on. This work is no doubt a historical record, a reference material and it comes very handy to those who want to read the memoirs of heroes of OIU. However, one volume of OIU Factual Account of our Heroes is not enough to document all the heroes of OIU.
