Michael Kleen is a Writer, traveler, and raconteur with a passion for history, photography, and the unusual. He has a M.A. in History from Eastern Illinois University and a M.S. in Education from Western Illinois University. He is best known for his work on Illinois folklore, but his photography has also appeared in Harvard Magazine, North Carolina Literary Review, and Society for Commercial Archeology. He has spoken about local history and folklore at conventions, libraries, cafes, schools, and colleges. Michael has written several books, including Tales of Coles County, Haunting Illinois: A Tourist's Guide to the Weird and Wild Places of the Prairie State, Paranormal Illinois, and Witchcraft in Illinois: A Cultural History.
