Various social, environmental and trade related issues need to be addressed by present fashion industry. Fair trade textiles may improve the working conditions and living status of workers in textile and garment factories. This book analyzes the current status and future prospects of FT textiles with special reference to Rajasthan state, India. The first chapter of the book includes the context, origin, objectives and significance of this research work.The second chapter is comprised of concept, definition and benefits of fair trade, history and current status of fair trade movement in India and Rajasthan, FT organisations, labeling, etc. The third chapter portrays research methodology, respondent and product categorization, data collection, processing and analysis. The fourth chapter discusses the results based upon analysis of the data collected. These include SWOT and market trend analysis to identify and assess the demand for FT products in local as well global market; vision, practices, attitudes, problems, challenges, prospects and suggestive strategic measures to build a stronger FT community. The fifth chapter extracts out conclusion from the findings of the study.
