On the wild prairies of the Dakota Territory, Faith de Lambert and her family homestead near the town of LaSalle. Life is difficult, but, through their faith, they learn to coexist with the native people and to endure the hardships of pioneer life. It is an exciting time to live in the territory, as it will soon be divided into two states-North Dakota and South Dakota.
