This book is the result of more than a year's worth of research about Captain Lawrence John Ritter, a man that tragically died in a training flight accident on April 26, 1946, in the remote mountains north of Slate Run, PA. He survived all of World War II, only to be honored with brief recollections no longer than a sentence in a few books. Learn the story of an incredible man that lost his life in the midst of an awe inspiring military career as a pilot of the 325th Fighter Group, more famously known as, "The Checkertail Clan."
