Danae Penn was born in Leicester and is a former translator. She has lived in England, Scotland, Wales, Switzerland, Argentina, Belgium, Luxembourg, and is now settled in Condom, south-west France. When not time-travelling back into medieval Gascon life, she is an intrepid traveller in Latin America and the Far East.
