The book will be helpful to all undergraduate, postgraduate and research students of Botany. The contents are prescribed by many universities. In this book, systematic position of selected dicotyledonous families dealing with range of vegetative and floral characters is described. The detailed descriptions of all the families accompanied with manualy drawn illustrations along with classification and reasons are presented. The discussed examples are either cultivated as a garden plant or they grow as a wild native or introduced flora. The general characteristics of the families are described with reference to 2 or 3 examples. More emphasis is given on identification of plants in field condition.
