Dr. Johanna Luthman is Professor of History at University of North Georgia. Originally from Sweden, Luthman lives in the USA. She earned her doctorate from Emory University. Her work focuses on the Tudor and Stuart periods, specifically on issues of love, sex, marriage, and scandals at the courts of Elizabeth I and James VI and I. Previous publications include Love, Lust, and License in Early Modern England: Illicit Sex and the Nobility (2008) and Love, Madness, and Scandal: The Life of Frances Coke Villiers, Viscountess Purbeck (2017). Luthman lives with her husband in Atlanta.
