In Australia the right and accessibility to contraception and abortion, no fault divorce, equal pay and the need for both partners in a relationship to work, maintain a career and build up superannuation to provide for an aging society are just a few of the major changes, all leading to new realities and legislative change. Family Love, written in the early 1990s, depicts Maureen's journey of personal understanding, growth and metamorphosis within her family of origin. Her story encourages the next generation to grow up nurtured by the new millennium family and community love and joy that build our hopes and faith, regardless of gender norms. We can now work responsibly for the co-creation of a sustainable, healthy, and prosperous life on earth today
