NELSON BLONCOURT was inspired to write this book by the real Fanny, his
companion of eight years. He says, "Every person's dog is the best and the
most special to them. But Fanny has been so exposed to the public in this
city [San Francisco], that hundreds of people know her by name. That in
itself makes her soar." Nelson has worked as a fashion stylist and a
photography curator, and is currently a creative director and consultant.
He lives in the hills of San Francisco, California.
